Doug Oosterhart, CFP®, founded LifePoint Planning with a singular mission: to provide the sophisticated, tax-forward retirement planning that traditional "big-box" firms often overlook.

 

With over a decade of experience ranging from early-career professionals to nine-figure business owners, Doug recognized a systemic gap in the industry—clients were being managed as "assets," not planned for as families.

A graduate of Michigan State University with a degree in Finance, Doug’s perspective was forged by the realization that true financial freedom requires more than just investment returns; it requires the ability to be able to manage complex problems.

Doug is dedicated to helping clients navigate their biggest financial decisions, both leading up to and throughout retirement. His work focuses on aligning money with life so that work becomes optional and financial decisions support what matters most to each client.

Doug is married to his wife, Kristin, and they enjoy spending time with their two kids.
